A home held between forest and water.

Cedar Point in British Columbia

A home held between forest and water.

A low cedar roof and pale stone ground a room that opens towards the inlet. The glazing is deliberately quiet: long sightlines, a warm bronze edge and a threshold that keeps the living space connected to the terrace.

The elevation follows the horizon rather than competing with it. Fixed corners extend the view in two directions, while the sliding opening allows the room to change with the weather. Timber, stone and glass meet in details designed to feel inevitable.
