Bronze, oak and stone offer more than a colour palette. They create a relationship with time.
A material palette should be considered in changing light and over time. A warm metallic finish can sit quietly alongside timber, while a darker frame can recede into reflection.
Place physical samples together. Compare the finish in daylight and evening light, beside the actual stone and timber rather than a screen. Texture, sheen and edge geometry are often more important than a colour code.
Maintenance belongs in the selection process. Different finishes have different care requirements and weathering characteristics. Choose a finish that supports the way the building will be used and looked after.
